Metswako Chemicals was founded in June 1999 as an empowered subsidiary of AECI Industrial Chemicals, South Africa, established with a specific mandate to deliver outsourced chemical procurement and management to Debswana’s Jwaneng Mine.
In May 2022, the company completed its transition to a 100% Botswana citizen-owned business, a milestone reflecting a genuine commitment to national empowerment and long-term investment in the country’s industrial future.
